It’s an exciting time for teachers. It’s going to be important for professional development to get it right. One added point: Integrating AI into classroom assessment is important, but there is another dimension that currently isn’t being tapped: student self-and-peer assessment. How students interact with AI cries out for assessment as well.
Absolutely...staying at the forefront of this development is critical. We've allowed ourselves to fall trap to outdated technology and old habits. With new opportunities comes new learning. That can be uncomfortable and also challenging. Still, as leaders (formal and organic), we can nudge our colleagues to adopt new ways of operating, while learning how to leverage what's developing so that self-assessment, peer assessment, and various forms of progress monitoring can help make learning progressions more efficient. :) Thanks for the comment!
